WHO I HELP
I provide clients in the Atlanta area with a wide range of mental health services. I do not take a 'one size fits all' approach. From experiencing difficult life circumstances to processing traumatic experiences - my services are personalized to suit your needs. I am practicing under the direction of Melanie Gulley and the supervision of David Lane, PhD, LPC, CPCS at Compassion Cove Counseling.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT
Your first visit is like test-driving a car. We'll sit down together and have a conversation about what it is that brought you in. We'll talk generally about what's going on in your life today and how you got there. I'll tell you about what counseling might look like and we will work together to clarify what you want to see change in your life.
The first visit often feels like not much therapy got done. You'll get a sense of who I am and whether or not you'd like to come back.
You'll enter into a waiting room with water and a restroom, but no receptionist. I will come get you at your appointment time. Your paperwork will already be done so we can talk about it together. In my office, you'll find a comfy couch, a mini-fridge stocked with sodas and water, and some fidget toys in case you want to distract yourself while we talk about hard things.
